EYES ON SPORT
Super Bowl LIV game was played on February 2, 2020, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, home of the Miami Dolphins. This was the eleventh Super Bowl staged by the South Florida region and the sixth in Miami Gardens, which hosted Super Bowl XLIV 10 years ago.
During the game, the 49ers concluded the regular season with a 13-3 record and progressed to their eighth Super Bowl appearance overall, thanks to the rise of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
Due to the implementation of a 17-game schedule in 2021, this was the first Super Bowl played on the second Sunday in February. From 2003 until 2020, all Super Bowls were played on the first Sunday in February.
The game was broadcasted by Fox in the United States, along with a halftime performance hosted by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. An estimated 102 million viewers tuned in—a tiny increase over Super Bowl LIII in 2019. This game had the smallest audience in history.
